About Us

Aims and Objectives

OWLS is a support group for women and children that have or are going through Domestic Abuse.
The group was set up by three women that met in a local refuge and thought that support was still needed once they had left.
the group is run by a group of women volunteers.
We meet once a wseek on a wednesday 10.30am-12.30pm.

​Domestic violence survivor

To enable and support women and their children to resettle successfully into the community after leaving tempary accommodation
Provide a support network and to signpost individual members to external agencies by agreement
To encourage, develope and motivate women throuh group participation.
Share experiences, receive encouragement and support from other members and improve coping skills
Learn new strategies for confronting and coping with problems and to find reassurance and support from others with similar experiences
Liase and signpost members to relevent agencies
Help with issues of health and wellbeing
